Critical Care

From post surgical care to critically ill patients, our well trained caring staff is on duty 24 hours a day. Pain assessment and management, Vital signs and fluid monitoring are under constant surveillance of all hospitalized patients. Your pet is our highest priority in maintaining comfort health and critical care.

You are encouraged to visit your animal if he or she is being cared for in our hospitals. This not only benefits you but stimulates the healing process of your beloved pet. It is important for them to know that you are there for them and that you will visit them daily while he/she is being treated in a critical health situation.

All our staff members are well qualified and trained in caring for injured and critically ill animals and/or in handling and husbandry of healthy pets. The majority of the 2011 Knowles Animal Clinics Sr. Surgical and Intensive Care Team of Supervisors have been with Knowles Animal Clinics 20-30+ years. Sr. Staff members Cathy Cummings, Patricia Russo, Lory Nelson, Patricia Gutierrez, Jacque Pereira (now Dr. Pereira) and Patty Gonzalez even had the privilege of working for and/or being trained by Dr. Jack O. Knowles. Each of these team members along with Linda Warner and Carlos Martinez also have 20-30+ years invested at Knowles Snapper Creek. Our technicians are Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT) and many of our assistants are veterinarians from other countries who are not yet licensed in the United States. This dedicated team of caring individuals at Knowles Animal Clinics makes up one of the most experienced nursing staffs in Miami’s animal clinic industry giving us the cutting edge in critical care.

Knowles Animal Clinics Proudly provide veterinary services for the City of Miami Canine Units, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Miami Dade Corrections / Narcotics, and Miami Dade's Canine Units.
