Knowles Animal Clinic (Central location only) is an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). We regularly undergo inspections by AAHA to ensure that we comply with the association's high quality standards of care. These standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital, including surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, patient care, cleanliness, client service, emergency services, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesiology. Approximately 17 percent of animal hospitals in North America are accredited by AAHA.

An eight month old female mixed breed dog was brought to our clinic after a car hit her.

She was in shock and the left rear leg was obviously broken. The tail had also been injured.

Radiographs were taken of the chest, abdomen and rear legs. The lungs and heart were bruised. (Patches of edema were seen in the lung field and abnormal beats were seen on the electrocardiogram).

The left femur had broken into six pieces. The pet was treated medically for four days until she was stable enough to undergo surgery.
